    Default Armrest

Which armrest? BRP flipup or Show Chrome swing out? I know the BRPs are more expensive, are they worth it?

I have the show Chrome swingout armrest. I would say go with the flip up ones by BRP or one of the other makers. Show Chrome ones are always coming lose and swing out. Just my Opinion and experience with the SC armrest.

Been looking at the Diamond R armrest, chrome tube version. I like how they can fold against the passenger backest when not in use, and Gloria likes the idea of the longer padded portion that supports her whole arm. They have different supports and other accessories on thier website, too. https://diamondraccessories.com/ Does anyone have experience with these?

I have the Diamond, once you get the tight enough not swing out on their own they are pretty good. And you can fold them in when riding solo. My only complaint is I have the chrome ones and despite only have 4000 miles of 99.6% dry riding and garage stored they rusting a bit. I'm considering the BRP option.
    To be continued....

I have the BRP armrests. Since my wiffe has been known to cat nap while ryding these are safer than the swing out and easy to install.

I have the BRP armsrests. I like the fact they move up instead of out. Wife seems happy with them (feeling more secure in seat) as well.

As with most things, I didn't attempt installation myself, so I can't comment on how easy or difficult it was.

I have the Diamond armrest in black. Wife loves them and I like them when I am in the rear seat. He is doing away with the chrome ones I believe as they are too hard to keep clean and rust free.

I vote for the BRP armrest. 2 reasonS: One my wife likes how they make her feel she is strapped in and secure. She too does have a tend to nap on long day rides. She also likes the idea of folding up and sliding off the bike rather then having to slide forward and into the seat. The second is storage. I have put my helmet on the passenger seat with the armrest down. The helmet can’t slide off the seat. If i do a long ride I can also put a bag between the rests and it is secure with a motorcycle net. Just remember to fold them up when getting on. They are pretty stout but i wouldn’t wan to put 150 lbs pushing directly down on them.

I have the BRP armrest. Better half likes them for reasons already stated. I personally wish they were a little longer for more support.

I have the Show Chrome purchased from Ultimate Seats. I also had Ultimate change the padded armrests for ones that match the color of my Ultimate seat at an additional $50. My bride likes the ability to rest her arms and feels more secure and comfy.

My wife swears by the diamond arm rests. Loves that they are longer and has a leather pouch attached for her to store her stuff. She can pull them in when she needs them. ALSO you can tighten the screws to give it more tension so they don't swing very easy. I like them for the fact when she is not with me I can fold them into the back of the seat. If I bought another RT I would install these same ones again.
