Not specifically today but over the weekend removed the BRP shocks front and rear and fitted Wilbers shocks. Not a fun activity but done. Test ride Sunday on my 250k m test track of highways and country back roads found a few problems
- Cant stop grinning at how much better the 17 RTL is to ride, this isn't an incremental improvement but a huge one. As soon as I reversed out of the garage over a small ledge in the concrete, I could feel the difference in the way the shocks behaved.
- Because the new shocks are finally doing what suspension is supposed to, I cant stop looking down at the front wheels hugging the road.
- To finally have the ability to adjust compression and rebound settings is right up there with holding an overly full bladder for 10 hrs and finally getting to wee
- I have not played with any settings (seems a contradiction I know from the above comment) because the calibration by Wilbers based on my weight and riding prefs is spot on. This will change when my copilot comes for a ride who's weight has been factored in too
They are pronounced as Wilbers - but you should pronounce the same way Homer Simpson pronounces Doughnuts - that mesmerized tone he uses.

An awesome what did you do to the Spyder reply. FWIW, you will likely find that once set, the clickers will stay in that setting without a need to change.

Not being familiar, the two pics are different. Can you explain? Thanks.

Hey askitee - that's a Pauline Hanson question for ya.
The best substitute for brains & knowledge is....................silence.

But if it's not those pics you're concerned about, then sorry, I got nothin'!!
Help any?!
Now I've gotta go practice pronouncing 'Wilbers' the same way Homer Simpson pronounces Doughnuts.... I'm still having difficulties doing it properly without drooling!
Nice shocks askitee!
Sorry, but each reference to Homer Simpsons tone saying Wilburs, simply sends me to thoughts of Mister Ed, the talking horse saying “Willllbuurrrrrr”

Single shock is the rear, the 2 shocks are the front. It is not that hard.

Thanks to also Fearless, I was not aware or I would not have asked the question. I'm just not as smart as some people.

Today I put the first scratch in my 2019 RTL. Pulling into my shed, standing on the footboards so I could look over the windshield and get the front really close to the back shed wall. Got close to the wall, right foot missed the brake pedal (note to self, get the bigger pedal!). Hit the wall at about 1 mph. About a 2" long scratch in the "beak" of the frunk. NOW I have a 2X4 on the floor so the bike will stop before it hits the wall! Just ordered touch up point from ScratchesHappen.

Kind of a slow time of year for a lot of us....waiting out "Old Man Winter"...getting some new front tires mounted today and will put em on the RT later today. Unfortunately the roads around here are still full of salt, so I won't be taking a test ride any time soon...Went with a pair of Vredestein Quatrac 5's......We'll see....

I finally had a decent dry day. Hit 34F here. Perfect for me. So drove it to work and drove around for a bit at lunch.
Taking it to the dealer tomorrow to have them put 3 new Kenda Canine tires on and do a laser adjustment as well. Then sunday drive half the day before the Football game comes on. And then monday, (last good day for awhile)I intend to run 200 miles or so just cruising around.
