    Default M2 Shocks

Installed a set of M2 shocks on my 2019 F3 Limited yesterday. Spent most of the time removing and installing body panels to gain access to the top mounting bolts for the shocks. Probably won't get a chance to test ride for a few days. I hope they perform as good as they look. A shout out to Marcus (M2 shocks) for being available to answer my questions, even on Sunday.

Sweeeet! don't forget to give a riding review! I guess I should head down to the Post Office myself to see if I have a package from M2 also, tracking said today?

I did not know that you can adjust the air pressure with the auto air ride. We have the 2018 F3 limited.

Oh, there's a way you can adjust the air in the auto ride, and depending on witch shock he got, he may want to switch it over to a manual fill system! I hope he talked to the guys at M2 and run that by them, don't want the two systems fighting each other!

Did you have to loosen any of the settings when you installed? Video from M2 shows loosening the collar in order to compress the shock during installation... seems to me like that would remove the custom presets from the factory

No I did not have to loosen the preload collars to install the shocks, but the preload does not come factory preset per se. They have to be adjusted to achieve the proper ride height. It is detailed in the included instructions, and Marcus was always available for any questions that I had.

I loosened them on my RT. I thought it was easier to put them in. You will have to adjust them anyway to set your ride height.

Thanks, was it easy to find a pre / post reference points to adjust the ride height? Spyder won't actually be here until this week so I can't look for myself.....

4.5 inches off the ground when measuring the front end. You will still need to set the dampening to suit your riding preference.
If you go to M2 web site you can down load the installation instructions and he has a video on you tube.

I Agree! Looking at the install instructions on the M2 website it does appear they are installed upside down
for a Spyder but not for a Ryker.

I'm very happy with the shocks, compared to the stock setup. The Spyder feels much more planted, it tracks better through the corners, and it has an overall plusher ride. In combination with the Baja Ron swaybar, it also has reduced body roll in the corners.

Marcus mentioned that the shocks could be installed either way, but he felt that adjusting the preload was easier with the shocks oriented the way they are in the picture. I did try the shocks installed with the preload adjusters on the bottom, and I felt that Marcus was correct. After looking at them installed both ways, I feel the present direction looks better to me also.

This is a copy of my Sunday ride report from the other F3 area.

Ride Report on my M2 Shocks. Just got back from a 105 mile test ride with the new M2 shocks that I installed yesterday, Rode from Apple Valley over to Prescott Wisconsin and down WI35 and crossed over to Redwing MN. That section (22 miles) has a bunch of hi speed curves that I normally ride at 10 over, Today hit those at 15 over when safe to do so. Stopped for a pop in Redwing and then headed toward Vasa MN and County 7 Blvd. That section has an 8 mile stretch of 30 mph curves, and thats when the rain started. Spyder rides flat into, through and out of the curves. Like other M2 shock owners have said "like they are on rails" Yep that's it. Curves that I always found myself pushing on the outside floorboard didn't need that today. MRS.T.P. who followed me on her Spyder said that everything seemed way smoother throughout all of the curves. The shocks come well packaged showing me that Marcus really cares for his customers and his products.

These M2 shocks are GREAT! OUTSHOCKING! the Competition every day

If you need to talk to me, Please PM me a cell# These are installed on a 2017 F3T PB1 from PITBULL

    T.P.
