Default For those of you with an Atlas throttle lock...

Because I care so much for my fellow Ryker ryders, I wanted to pass along this tip.

Last summer on a trip from Indianapolis to Moab, Utah, I lost the little clear pad of my Atlas throttle lock rendering the throttle lock useless. As I had thousands of miles yet to go, this was a big problem.

So what's a guy to do?

In a Nacgyver moment, I found a section of rubber fuel line and I cut off a 1/2 inch section and then split that half inch section into two 1/2 moons. See picture.

With one of those Half Moons, I trimmed it up a bit and super blueed that in the place of the clear pad. The throttle lock then worked much better than the original. I set it and forget it. And it holds speeds for miles and miles.

    Inquiring minds need to know....

    Ryde on.

Im looking at getting an atlas throttle lock. after doing some budgeting, i was looking to see if i can find it cheaper on ebay. Come to find out, they have a top kit and a bottom kit for a quarter of the price. Which kit do you suggest for a 2019 ryker ralley?

I may be wrong but I believe what you're looking at is only the Plastic inserts, allen wrench, alcohol pad and a couple of screws, not the unit itself. For about $25 it's called a replacement kit.
