    Default F3T Panniers modified

I have modified my Panniers on my F3T
The pannier Lids on the F3T (I think the F3Ltd is the same)are single skin and there is only one retaining strap (Wire)
There is no damper that allows the lids to open slowly like on the RT’s
I didn’t think the single Wire was sufficient so I’ve added a 2nd strap made from webbing using one of the existing bolts in the lid and fitting a new bolt at the top off the pannier case
There is also a plastic section which is used to stop items falling out when you open the lids unfortunately this is not secured and is useless the way it’s supposed to fit in the pannier case
I Drilled 2 holes in the base of this plastic section piece and through the panniers and used a Bolt, Washer and a flanged Nyloc nut on the underside another bolt is used in the side of the panniers again through the plastic section giving 3 fixing points
This plastic section is held secure helping to keep items secured inside the panniers
None of the Bolts or Nyloc flange nuts interfere with the opening & closing of the panniers lids

We did a similar thing, but used a pushpin. The best workaround is to have a bag that fits in. Leave the plastic wall off, and the bag contains everything. Remove bag, get item, close bag, insert bag. Bags with pockets are great. Nice job!!

I use the Spyderpops bags, they fill the whole case.

If I knew what wire and how it notified the system to alert "bag open" I could probably do the same thing that I did for my goldwing. I used a strip of white leds taped to the lid and had them switch on and off with the ground wire of the lock. The strip illuminated the entire bag when the lid was open.

Hi! Did you put the pushpins in the same place as the photo screws?

Spyderpop bags seem perfect but a bit expensive in my opinion. Just in my opinion.
