    Default Safe place to connect a hot wire with the ignition on?

    Can anyone tell me a safe place to hook in a wire that is hot with the switch on. This is on a 2019 RT? I don't want to cause any problem.

    There is a 12 VDC connection for the GPS on the right side behind the gas tank. I think it has a 5 Amp fuse, so that may be the limit on that circuit.

    There should be hot and ground wires in the frunk behind a rubber plug next to the battery. It is on with ignition by a fuse in slot 6 in the right side fusebox, , or if you move the fuse to slot 7 it is always on.

    You should get a relay / fuse block which is triggered by the keyed on circuit but powered directly by the battery. Lamonster carries a Show Chrome branded one I think, but there are others.

    I put mine in the cavity just under the headlights on the left side of the bike. On my wife's bike, the previous owner put it with the battery in the frunk.
