    Default Phone in Glove Box

The later Spyder touring models Those with the BRP connect system have the lead for a mobile phone connection in the glovebox but I understand the phone gets very hot in there, and some have moved their phone to the handlebars with a lead back to the Connect system
I wondered if there is a way to keep your phone cool whilst in that glovebox
Has anyone tried one of these of something similar

My 19 RTL has the phone connection in the frunk but I don't use it. I don't care for the BRP app and the limited apps it will work with so I added a USB charger to my dash, connect via bluetooth and use whatever apps I want. If you connect the phone to the bike's bluetooth you still see the notifications on the dash. Chris

Yeah, but Eddie’s profile picture shows he rides an RT, LifeLong. They have a different glove box position to your F3.

If your phone is in a case then it will get hot. If the battery is more than half gone it will get warm because its working as well as charging. The reason I mount my phone on the dash is because it's way easier to get at than getting off the bike and opening the frunk. When I've used it in the pocket in the frunk, it never got hot. I have an iPhone. I don't use a case. I won't put my phone in the RT glove box, under the handlebars, because it gets hot in there.

At present I have an RT but I’m about to get an F3T
My understanding is the phone is connected in the Glove bo located below the Windscreen for BRP Connect because that’s were the leads are situated
Some riders stated their phones overheat whilst placed in that glovebox and describe it as a pizza Oven
    See:- https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...ne+overheating

I will be using my iphone6
I just wanted to know if anyone has managed to solve this problem
    Thanks Eddie Sheppard

The glove box on the F3's are above the dash and no where near the engine like the RT glove box is. If the phone's battery is less than 40% it will get very warm when charging AND being used. The reason I have my phone on the dash is for convenience. When I had it in the RT trunk it never got how. It's an iPhone.
