Spyder Orange Screen and Sticky Brake?

For the last month or so, if the bike is parked in the garage for a few days or more, the brakes won't release until you give it a good amount of throttle. Maybe a sticky caliper or parking brake? Once unstuck it rides just fine.

Last night, my wife called on her way home from work and had the orange screen and said the brake pedal felt mushy. I went to her rescue, test rode it, and did feel the mushy brakes. decided I could ride it home and not tow it to the dealer. On the way home the brakes felt normal again.

This morning, tried to get the orange code by pressing Mode, Set, and Turn Signal. All I get is a white square in the middle of the display. Tried several times.

    HELP!

    Default Interesting....🤔

From your profile I see it is a 2015 so brembo brakes. Don't know what work has been done brake wise, if any but a full fluid change and disc and caliper clean would be a good place to start. If this occurs at start up if you could raise the spyder and see which brake is sticking would help. The problem codes will not always show up after you have shut down the engine and the computers have re-set. To get those you now need BUDS system or ryde till the problem comes up again. The orange screen will appear if the ryder has their foot on the pedal while ryding a distance, faulty or sticking brakelight switch etc but will clear after shutdown but the spongyness could be from contaminated fluid....

If you do not have any codes, but still have the Orange brake warning, it is possible the low-pressure switch has been activated. There are three switches in the brake circuit. 1. Brake light switch, 2. Hydraulic pressure switch, and 3. Low pressure switch (this is really a limit switch that just senses the pedal has traveled too far). This can be reset by the following procedure.
This situation typically occurs when you have the parking brake on and your foot on the brake pedal. When you release the parking brake you will feel the main brake pedal go down pretty far. That’s when it hits the Low-Pressure switch and causes this error.
It is easy to reset that Orange Screen:

After a low-pressure switch (LPS) problem has
been solved, it is necessary to clear the occurred
fault in the VCM as follows:
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Wait 30 seconds.
    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Firmly press brake pedal until you hear a "click"
from the LPS switch or until braking pressure
    reaches 3,500 kPa (508 PSI) .
NOTE: The 1st click will come from the brake light
switch. Continue to strongly press pedal to hear
a 2nd click. This one will come from the low pressure
switch. You may not hear the click, just push the pedal real hard.
NOTE: Use B.U.D.S. to monitor brake pressure if
    desired.~
    5. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    6. Wait 30 seconds.
    7. Turn ignition switch ON.
    8. Validate fault was cleared.

I did the reset thingy, and I definitely felt the 2nd click as it felt like it released the brake pressure. but after 30 seconds the screen flashed white 3 or 4 times, the speedo went to the top and back to the bottom and nothing. Seems like my battery might have died. Just bought this 2015 so a new battery is probably needed anyways...

Sounds like you have something else going on with the screen flashing white. Before getting a new battery, clean the terminals, including the ground. BRP puts thread locker on almost all the screws. I had a poor ground connection because of that. If you load test the battery while it is in the bike, be sure to disconnect it totally so you get on honest battery reading.

I've never looked at a 2015 RT-S, but all the others I've seen after 2012 are in the frunk. The fuse boxes are on the rear wall of the frunk on the right side. The battery should be on the rear wall on the left side. Left/Right refer as if you are sitting on the bike in the riding position. If you have a trunk liner, you will need to move it.
