Default Red Parking Brake Indicator won't shut off.

Rode in to work this morning, and the red parking brake light indicator on the dash wouldn't shut off. It stayed on all the way to work, and then when i pushed the button to set the brake, it engaged, but would beep like it wasn't on when I shut the byke off. Any ideas?

You're probably low on brake fluid. These machines seem to be pretty sensitive, it doesn't take much to set off the sensor.
Open the seat. On the right side towards the rear of the bike, you'll see two screw caps. These are the fill connections for the brake reservoirs.
Open the caps and top off the reservoirs with brake fluid, and you should be good to go.

Please keep us posted so we know how you made out.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

Thanks, i will try that tonight. I'm worried I pinched something when installing the light kits this weekend.

Did you pull a code? That may help. Couple different brake issues that report.

FINFAN3DP, I'd be guessing that you've upset the little micro-switch on the park brake activation pulley wheel.... Under the tupperware on the RHS just in front of your foot there'll be a black disc/wheel that is driven by the park brake activation motor; this wheel turns to pull the cable that runs to the rear brake & activates the park brake. On that wheel is a raised tab, and as the wheel turns it trips a little roller on the end of a short length of spring steel projecting from a micro-switch. THAT''s most likely your problem - the roller, spring, & micro-switch can get dirty over time, or displaced/bent if the park brake's activated without the rear wheel &/or brake pads fitted, and if the switch isn't activated properly for either reason, the park brake light stays on all the time!!

Fix?! Is usually fairly simple (once you've got the tupperware off - got Magic Mirror mounts yet?) Simply clean the roller & switch assy, make sure the spring bit is straight, and that the little roller is being lifted enough to do its job whenever the tab on the park brake activation pulley wheel comes around!

This is all a WHOLE LOT easier to see & do in practice than it is to type out like this without pics, so don't over-think it all too much, just open up the tupperware & look for the black placcy wheel/disc thingy on the end of the park brake cable, then it should all become clear! Go On, you know you want to, Just do it!

Thanks for the tips everyone, but yesterday when I left work the light went off and hasn't gone back on.
