Any do it yourself tire changes here?

I've been changing my own motorcycle tires for years using a NoMar tire machine. I've even done a few cars using this machine. The front tires on my 2015 RT seem impossible to remove. The center of the rim is almost the same diameter as the bead. Anybody here a DIY for tires on the Spyder and have any tips? Help is much appreciated. As you can see from the photo I have the opposite side well below the bead.

I got the tools and changed motorcycle tires for decades myself. My recommendation for the Spyder tires is to take them to the guy who changes your truck tires. He has the pneumatic tools to do it without scratching the rims and he is 50 years younger than I am.

I did my fronts on my HF tire changer and removed them from the opposite side as what you're doing.

Yup, wrong side. Break the bead on both sides, then out side up, plenty of lube. A helper is nice to keep the opposite side in the wheel valley. Come right off. If it’s cold out, we use a heat gun to warm it up. Call if you need to. Joe

Thanks guys! I took them to a local tire place and they did them for free. As I was dropping them off I noticed the bump where the tire stem goes in and thought that may be a valley in the inside and to next time try it from the other side. In any case, got them done and balanced them myself. Thanks for the feed back.

At 73 I don't bust tires any more. I have a local tire place that will do my tires if I bring them the rear wheel and for the fronts I just take the Spyder in for them to do. As I am using car tires I don't do this very often. Last set of fronts lasted nearly 40,000 miles. Previous rear I got 35,000+.

What brand and size of tires are you running on an RT? I have a 2014 I just bought and it still has the stock tires on it. I've read many posts that say don't buy the junk Kenda's.
