    Default 2017 RTL SE with P0130 Code

    Hello all! Looking for some advice for a friend who owns a 2017 RTL SE. During a short ride last week he noticed that the bike all of sudden started running rough and the check engine light went on. He was able to get it back home and I helped him pull the code - P0130. The bike has less than 700 miles on it and is still under warranty. Unfortunately the nearest dealer won't even be able to look at it for a couple of weeks and the dealer he bought it from is a couple of hours away. Based on the code it would appear that the O2 sensor is suspect. In the interest of getting him back up and running quickly, was wondering if it would be worth just replacing the O2 module and skipping the long wait at the dealer altogether. Does anyone have any experience in replacing the O2 sensor on an RTL? How difficult would it be?

    Default Little checking.....

    Usually the o2 sensor bolts to the exhaust and fairly easy to get to and change...First, as suggested, check the connections and routing of the wires to make sure there is not a disconnect of damage, check fueses. There are test patterns if you can get a hold of a shop manual of the spydercodes app.
