Default Using car tires on front of Spyder RT

Has anyone used the Bridgestone Potenza or is there a preferred tire? I have 35,000 miles on the original set.

ANYTHING is better than a Kenda or Arachnid …. but if you want the best " tested " tire for any Spyder look for the Vredestein Quatrac 5 …… the General Altimax RT43 ( in the lower rated model ) is good rear tire alternative ….. Mike

Back in 2017, before Mike found the VStein's, I put on Federal Formoza AZ01 All Season Tire - 175/65R15's and have been very happy with them. They now have double the mileage of the Kenda's and still look new.
Kenda's replaced at 11,000 miles, Federal's still running strong at 34,000 miles.

Mike ~ I have 2014 RTL and am ready to replace esp the back tire. Would like to replace all the tires with Vredestein Quatrac 5. Can you direct me as to where I might get them/order them? I've checked with Tire Rack and they stated that they don't carry the 165/55/15 for front or 255/50/15 for the rear.

    Thanks.

People here have been using the 175/55-15 on the front without any issues …. I don't think they make that255/55-15 size !!!!! …. a size that the same people are using is the 205/60 or 65 - 15 on the rear ……. Try Simple tire …..o\and /or Vulcan tire ….members have bought at all three sellers …. good luck …..... PS when you get them mounted they ONLY need 15-16 psi front and 17-18 psi rear ….. that's what most here are using …...Mike

The first sentence of the 2nd post says it all. "Anything is better than a Kenda or an Arachnid."

There are lots of choices now...if you can find a person to put them on for you. In AK, I was captive to Kenda. Now I am not. Both my babies have new shoes. Took what Lamonster had in stock.
