Doesn't sound like anything an hour at 110mph would fix...

I have read many threads, with spyder's breaking down. Kind of scarry thought. I hope you get your spyder back soon, and no more breaking down

Go to any forum for any vehicle and you're going to read a lot of threads about people breaking down.
Breaking down is bad, people don't like bad. People tend to focus on bad things for several reasons.
1. They need moral support in their time of grief
2. They need a shoulder to cry on (kind of goes along with #1)
3. Others want to share their similar experience (for the 100th time)
4. Still others want to avoid the same or similar bad experience so they ask a lot of questions which keeps the thread near the top longer than threads about good stuff.
5. That's just the way it is on forums like this.
It isn't that bad things don't happen. But they tend to get the magnifying glass treatment making them look larger than they really are.
Sure it's serious for the owner and I'm not trying to minimize that. But when you take into consideration all the Spyders out there and all the combined trouble free hours/miles put on them, divide that by the number of issues (not caused by owners or bad mod installs, etc.) I'd say the picture would look pretty good.
I've got almost 14000 miles on my Spyder. I had an issue with the PS, got it fixed and I'm a happy camper. Many have had less problems and some have had more.
Overall, I think the Spyder is a pretty sound, reliable machine.
