    Default Eco

I have a 2019 rt. When you hit the mod button ECO comes up on the screen. I have looked all through the book and cannot find anything. What does it do?

I find ECO MODE to be a royal PITA. It slows everything down and many here say it doesn't save much gas, if any. So I stay out of eco mode.

A useless addition to the left bar cluster. Tells you when to shift----- by taking your eyes off the road ahead of you????? Adjusts throttle response ( slows it a bit ).

On my F3 it tells you that you can shift at about + - 2,700 rpm's . Useless really.

You turn it on when you are riding with a group of big, over-weight, under-powered Geezer-Glides...... so they can keep up with you.

My local expert Spyder mechanic says, "....don't ever use Eco Mode. It only causes your oil to turn black, causes the 1330 to use oil and generally causes havoc." He said that he had a discussion with a BRP engineer about Eco Mode. The engineer said, it does absolutely nothing for fuel economy. The only reason it was put on the Spyder was to satisfy the US EPA.
