    Default 2015 SE 5 slow engagement 1-2 gear and 2-3 when hot and only after long ride

    Slow engagement 1-2 and 2-3 after riding 4 hrs in 90 degree weather rev up rpms ok?using blended mc oil and have used synthetic also same thing

    Have you checked the oil level? If it's an ST then it'll have the V-twin motor & they DO use oil, especially if ridden at speed for a fair while on a hot day!! My guess would be that it's used some oil during the 4 hours of riding in the warm weather, so now the shift is acting up, but if it is that it should be remedied by replenishing the oil. Only one caveat, do check the level with the oil warm after riding, as per the approved oil checking method!

    That's only a guess mind you, cos you only told us what oil you used, but didn't tell us if the level was good.... and we all know the V-twins do use oil!
