Default Promised pics of "final" HF trailer painted to match Cognac Spyder

Spyder with trailer 1.jpgSpyder with trailer 2.jpg

For those following my "saga", here are 2 "final" pics of the HF trailer painted with +/- 3 coats of VHT SP402 and then covered with multiple layers of Rust-oleum "Universal" High Gloss Clear.
As a final (?) thing, "WE" decided the white HF wheels REALLY took away from the whole thing so, after conversing again () with Blueknight911, we went with Satin Black for the rims.
Next trip is in 2 weeks and can't wait to actually use it !! Thanks to all who were/are interested.

What is it that you have attached to the trailer frame just under the license plate?

It was on the trailer when I bought it, and it is a wood piece basically the size of a 2x4. It does increase the rear protection of the cargo shell. It is gold right now because I didn't feel like taking it off to repaint it yet. Maybe now that the rest is done..... or not

    Default Excellent....

The wheel color change made a big difference and all for the better. Silver chrome or black was the way to go.... now off you go with one fine looking trailer, congrats on a job well done...

Ah yea, I was going to do something like that with mine. But in stead of wood I was going to make two metal extensions (legs) like a small bumpers about 4" long that attached to back of the frame. But currently I just use a large block of wood about 8"x8" 16" long. I stand the trailer up right on it in the garage next to the wall and it saves a lot space. Lifting the trailer by the tongue is easy and the thing almost stands there by itself. I just secure the tongue to an eye screw in the wall and that's where the trailer sits all winter.

I have a HF trailer also. I went to a place that sells golf carts, and they had hub caps that fit right on. Looks really good.

Interesting. Were those for 4.8x8 tires and rims? Any idea what "size" they call those?

Yes, I put it on there to protect the lights from damage when standing the trailer on end to work on it or store it

Looks great....I’m a little late to this thread, but when i had a similar setup (well exact without paint) I took one leaf out of the suspension to soften it up and eliminate much of the bounce....hopefully you will never hit the trailer load rating....also I had a cooler mounted in front of the carrier...you would be surprised how tongue weight that adds with ice and a case of beer

I like what you did, and may eventually do something similar. Just curious - what kind of cargo shell is it?
Were those the stock fenders for the trailer?
