    Default M10 Torque Spec.?

    Please, I need to know what the torque specification is for the Allen bolts that secure the rear fender support. I have a 2017 F3S-SE that I took the rear fender apart for a wash, wax and paint job. The marking on the bolts is "A2-70 THE". An internet search produced 37 ft-lbs (dry) / 28 ft-lbs (wet). I'm not sure if the result meets Can-Am specs. Thanks.

    Just snug it up. Torque does not really matter on a fender.

    To get the correct torque values, you must consider the grade and material of the fasteners. If you want to get it right try this chart;

    It is a PDF document and you can easily keep it on your cell phone or tablet.

    There are two main parts to a screw type fastener. The screw material and the tapped hole material. A steel screw into a steel tapped hole gets one torque while a steel screw into an aluminum tapped hole requires another torque.

    I know that did not answer your original question directly, but it is something to consider in the future.

    One should also consider the material being crushed between the bolt and nut.
