Default 2018 RT Daily Driver. 867 miles & squeaky brakes!?

Any day I can ride is a good day. As the subject states I have a 2018 Spyder RT and it is my daily driver. I have really squeaky brakes and it drives me crazy. I got the bike three weeks ago and it wasn't squeaking initially. It has gotten gradually worse. Is this normal through break in?

Take it to the dealer where you purchased it---- must still be under warranty.

That is over three hours away. If I have to I will but is there anything I can do myself to alleviate this?

    Default Cleaning a bit....

You can try cleaning the disc with brake cleaner and blowing compressed air around the calipers to clear away the accumulated brake dust. Many have used Simple Green to clean the brakes. This would be the easy quick thing to do but if your so inclined you can do more like beveling the pad edges, cutting groves in the pads etc. I think the cleaning will do the trick.....

A small amount of brake grease on the BACK of the pads where they contact the caliper pistons can take the squeal out of brakes.

Your correct - mine does it also, doesn't bother me.

Try A few good hard stops while not locking up the brakes.
