2014 Rt Help Needed
I have a 2014 RT limited, The temperature gage keeps going from all the hot to bottom of the scale cold. I am also getting P0217 fault code and the says to front radiators and coolant level and look for leaks, it also says to check thermostat. coolant level looks good along with the front radiators are not block and I have no leaks. My question is do you think i have a bad temperature sensor or a bad thermostat?

Is the gauge swinging off and on or what? For example, when you start your Spyder first thing in the morning the gauge is dead cold, right? Then does it work its way to full hot and stay or does it fluctuate back and forth? My apology if I misunderstand your statement of original symptoms. BTW, how many miles on Spyder? If > 28K when was last time coolant was changed?

If you start it up and it reads cold then goes to hot then all of a sudden goes cold again, then it is most likely a sticking thermostat. That is a common symptom.

That's why I asked the questions the way I did; I agree, a symptom of a sticking thermostat.

If you are talking of the analog temp gauge (red needle) that starts on bottom then slowly moves up...
You could unplug it from behind. The temp will then become digital on main screen... See how that reads...
If it acts the same, pretty good chance thermostat... JMHO...
