Default Storage (glove?) box closure failure

    I have a 2016 F3L.
The storage box, I don't know the proper name so glove box) below the windshield and above the instrument cluster will not stay closed any longer. It appears that the female closure has failed. In fact, with a flashlight and probe, I cannot find any evidence of it at all. I removed the instrument cover hoping I could see something but no joy.

Would you have any idea of how I can repair this and/or do some sort of workaround?

    Thanks!!

I had the same issue with my 2017 F3L. There is a small spring clip that inserts in the receptacle.
I had to remove the gauge cover and gauges to be able to remove the receptacle and insert a new spring.
Checked the glove box and the old spring was not present. good luck

Not like those cast iron post boxes I encountered in Perth 40+ years ago.
