    Default 2014 RT-S Driver Backrest

Hi! I just bought a 2014 RT-S and am interested in acquiring a driver's backrest and would appreciate any suggestions as to where the best place to purchase one would be, especially taking into consideration cost, location (online vs in store) and any other ideas/suggestions you might have. I live in Las Cruces, NM so there is not a lot of choices in in-store shopping locally. Thanks! Gwen

I have a Comfort Seat with BRP driver backrest which, except for the mount is essentially the same as the backrest for the OEM seat and am very satisfied with it. IMO your decision will rest upon two considerations; the amount of money you wish to spend, yes, the BRP backrest is pricey, $399.99, and how the backrest feels to you.

I've had my 2013 Spyder RT for 3 months. We had fun until the weather went above 110. The Spyder came with a backrest (Utopia?) I see a number of options on Ebay. Just a couple nuts and bolts under the seat and it's on. I was going to take it off, but my wife and I have gotten used to it. We just finished the 3 wheel MC course with Team Arizona in Gilbert AZ. I've ridden 2 wheelers before, but a little structured training was really worth the $99. My wife earned her 3 wheeler license endorsement with the course. Soon I'll see what sitting behind the backrest is like

I would not buy the BRP back rest again ,to much money and the back rest only adjust front to back but the pad does not tilt to your back .

I respectfully disagree. The adjustable drivers backrest adjusting bolt allows one to tilt the angle of backrest forward and backward to conform to how the user wants to sit -- at least mine does. The base of the backrest however remains fixed.
