    Default Dps warning

2012 RTS SE5, about 2 weeks ago, received codes
    P0551 Torque Sensor Open
    P0552 Torque Sensor Short
    Both possible DPS DIED....
Center screen flashes intermittently handle Bars, Check DPS, and Check Engine light....
Bike still runs great, City and Highway... I feel a little difference in the steering in turns...

Maintenance person is not due back on Island till October.

    Totally understand all, My question:
Will my bike eventually go to limp mode?
Is there a way to electronically by-pass the DPS warning indicator light?
Honestly, I do not mind NOT having the DPS...

Pull out the 40 amp F5 fuse in the main fuse box under the seat. That is for the DPS motor. See what happens. If it makes it worse. Put it back in.

    Default Bummer.....

if it will be a while up the pressure in the front tires to help with the steering if it is getting to heavy for you. If you did a reset on the computers and the codes went away and did not come back you may be alright. If they do come back you will have to have it checked out....
