Default Reverse gear pedal - any existing hacks ?

    Hi,

After 2-3 weeks with my 900 rally, I must say that switching the reverse gear is a pain, especially if the handle is turned left.
I could find some upgrades of the pedal, but nothing that would allow me to use my foot to move it back and forth (yes, I'm an old biker so using my left foot to switch gears is normal)

Anything available on the aftermarket for that ?

    -cheers - Denis

Do a search here in the Ryker forums. Lots of good ideas!

I really don't see why people are having trouble with the shifter. I am 5' 6" and have absolutely no problem what so ever with it using my foot and I use it 3 to 4 times every time I go riding.

Thanks - found the May discussion where the reverse gear problem is discussed.
FYI: I'm 6'3" and can't use my foot the way the handle is set.
I'll consider the hack to extend the handle

Hi Jerryturner I did the same but cut end off and drilled a hole through pedal arm and ordered a rubber to match the BRP one , then passed a dome headed bolt through the rubber with a nut on engine side Now it matches the other rubber and looks much more professional Regards Nico 75

Have two shifters on the way for my two 600's. Looking forward to getting them on. Mike
