Default New Apps in BRP Connect

Looks like another Rever type tracking app that also offers group trip sharing. Although it looks like more of an off road tracking so why do we get it?

Also Cardo users might like this as it looks like it works with the bluetooth headsets.

Wonder if they'll come out with Sena, Uclear, and other headset apps?

Android does not have BunsOffrd. It does have Cardo Connect as new. Also has as new a music app called Dash Radio.

PS link to list of compatible apps. https://www.brp.ca/on-road/experienc...p-connect.html

There should be no reason to connect your phone to your headset by cable. That I can think of anyway. Is there something specific you are trying to do?

The basic setup is that your phone is wirelessly Bluetooth (BT) paired, connected, to your dash. Your rider and passenger headsets are wirelessly BT paired, connected, to your dash. If you wish to have compatible apps on your phone display on your Spyder screen then you have to plug in the usb cable.

Sorry don't have a cardo headset. So I don't know. Maybe someone else with a cardo headset may know.

Screenshot of my phone. It's not installed so in the lower part of the screen. If installed on your phone should be in the upper section. Just to double check you have an android phone?

    It looks like we:
BT pair the cardo to your phone.
BT pair the cardo to the spyder.
BT pair the phone to the spyder.
Then plug in the USB to the phone.

I thought I read before that we should not pair the phone to the cardo, and now we do?
I am still running the old flash in my spyder, 13.2

    For all headset types.
Pair the headset to the Spyder.
Pair the phone to the Spyder.
Plug the usb cable from spyer into the phone. If you wish to use compatible phone apps on your Spyder screen.

    That's it.

Except there are many ways/modes of connecting BT devices. More than 30 of them. It depends on the devices and what they do. So the phone needs to pair/connect to the Spyder in 2 modes. Hands Free profile and stereo audio modes. The headset needs to connect to the Spyder in both Hands Free mode and stereo audio mode. Some headsets come with an app that runs on your phone. They will pair/connect in some type of data mode. That way you can make changes to your headset settings. The risk is that when you pair connect your phone directly to your headset. You will use up some of the profiles that are needed for the Spyder to work.

Hello, I see the same picture on my spyder, but I think it wants you to pair the phone with the cardo with BT, I do not know why it looks like there is a cable connecting them together.

The reason you do not pair a headset to the phone is because the Spyder handles phone duties. If you pair the headset to both the Spyder and the phone at the same time, in some cases the headset will get confused as to which phone (Spyder or phone) is the one it should be paying attention to.

Since I have a two wheeler too and often need to pair my headset directly to the phone, I simply delete the headset pairing from the phone whenever I'm using the Spyder. When using the two wheeler, a quick re-pairing of the headset to the phone is all that's needed.
