MSM supplement suggested by Jeriatric, early results:
It's been less than a week, and I've already noticed a difference when working out and after I've completed my time in the gym. I used to have to take at least one Aleve after working out due to arthritis in one hip; I'm Aleve free right now.
My hats off to you Mr. Jeriatric.

After reading the thread about MSM, I too bought some. I had my latest foot surgery 4 months ago. I have had foot, ankle, and leg soreness and swelling since then. Even went in to make sure I was not having a DVT. I did see some relief from taking 800mg ibu a couple times a day. Started MSM about 10 days ago and am off the ibus. The soreness and swelling are all but gone. Thanks for the info..... Jim

GREAT news!
All credit goes to Denise Dadore, were it not for her reporting, I'd have never known.

I just take Captain Morgan...
It doesn't make the pain go away at all: I just don't care as much!

Agree 100%. I'm the OP of the hand/wrist pain thread. I've now been on the MSM for about 3 weeks (2000 mg at breakfast and 2000mg again at dinner). While it's not a complete solution for me, I can say that the pain in my fingers and wrists is substantially reduced.
Now, if only I could find something that worked as well for my hip and low back!

There was a news story the other day stating that the FDA is recommending that MSM could be dangerous and should not be used. I'm sorry, but I have no other information to offer.

I may be way off, but how does sodium chlorite have anything to do with Methylsulfonylmethane ? Not a chemist.

Did stillriding base what he said solely on 3 letters, MMS vs MSM? I don't see what one has to do with the other.
I'm taking MSM, if I should die, I'll let you know stillriding was correct.
Did you ever wonder how rumors start?
Maybe it wasn't MMS, but M&M's that the FDA was reporting.

I think that is MMS not MSM, very different compounds.
