Security
What do F3 owners do to secure their bikes? I am getting one next month but doubt my disc/rotor lock will work.

Put the parking brake on, turn off the key, remove the key. I don't think there is a way to disengage the parking brake without the key.

Does F3 have fork & glove box lock on ignition too? If so turn forks farthest point & lock as you remove key with p-brake on your set. Mechanically locked in pace & the electronics won’t work without the chipped key

Well....
There are those that use the brake disc lock but Don know if your will work. Try it on yours or a demo model. How secure is where you are parking it..? The bars locked and key removed with park brake on kill switch off keeps them pretty safe...

Thanks. Doubt it would get stolen in Portugal, where I live, or the parts of Spain I will ride to. But if I went to England, auto theft capital of the world, anything is possible.

If you turn the handlebars to their extreme (to the stops), you can lock them by turning the key to the lock icon position. If you mount from the left, its best to rotate the bars to the right. Don't ask how I know.
The starting process is unknown to all but fellow Spyder owners, so there is some safety in that. But ALWAYS have comprehensive coverage on any vehicle, no matter the condition.

The Spyder is not something easy to lift and the DESS (Digitally Encoded Security System) is known to be quite effective.
I would think it's also something less desirable than a motorcycle (harder to sell).
That said I use a strong disc lock on mine (on the rear wheel) when I'm leaving it alone on the street in some place I'm not familiar with.
Oh, and congrats for the new trike

I have a Oxford Screamer Attack Activated Alarm Disc Lock on mine. It comes with 3 keys, up to 100db, 7mm locking pin and carry pouch. Where I am parked is in a basement carpark with concierge on site monitoring CCTV. I visit basement carpark twice a week to check my Spyder. Basement car park has a roller shutter door that is operated by remote key fob for entry/exit.

The brand name on the bike is enough of a deterrent. Not HD. And the starting sequence is a nightmare. The engaged Parking Brake is definitely not going to make it easy to move and it can't be released without the key on.

Thanks for the disc lock on the rear wheel tip. I don't get the F3 until mid- August.

If the thief is determined. Nothing will stop them. Best you can hope for is to slow them down.

Do you turn the "handlebars too?
I set parking brake, turn off key, turn the handle bar to the left, turn the key to the lock position in the ignition, remove key.
