2018 RT I want to sit higher(raise seat)?
Any ideas on how to elevate the seat height about 1/2 inch on 2018 RT? Can I put spacers under the seat or any other ideas besides buying a new seat?

Either a seat pad like an Airhawk, or , have an upholstery shop put in denser foam.

Can I put a spacer under the seat on each side to raise it?

Not and have the seat lock. There are far more easy ways(not cheap)ways to elevate your seat. That does not mean it has to be super expensive either.

Check with a local HVAC shop to see if they have a piece of 1/2" thick Arma-Flex insulation large enough to cut the right size and do a test sitting. If that feels good, strip the seat cover back glue the Arma-Flex to you original foam with contact cement then pull the cover back down and staple underneath like it is from the factory. If the 1/2" doesn't feel like enough use a second layer. If the HVAC shop does not have a scrap piece, full 3' x 4' sheets run about $50. I've used Arma-Flex to build about 7 or 8 motorcycle seats over the past 15 years. It is the most comfortable foam I have ever sat on in a motorcycle seat.
If you deicide to give this a go, shoot me a PM for a few more details on what tools are best to use and a couple of tips on getting the seat cover glued back properly.
Those who say " I can't" will always be right.

No, you can't mechanically raise the seat.
Be careful about putting a pad or pillow on top of the existing seat, as it will not hold you as securely in place when you most need it.
