Default specs for trailer to load 2010 RSS

My husband is building a flatbed for my Spyder and his Harley. Does anyone know the ramp distance, bed height etc. to load the Spyder? Thanks

There is no set height for the bed ….. I made a flatbed for my Toyt Pk-up , it was 29 inches from the ground = terrible , but I had no choice..... with 10 ft ramps I could still load the RT. ….. When building from scratch you have to consider the suspension / axel clearance first …. then try and get the bed as low as safely possible..... some folks claim a drop tail design is the best thing since sliced bread ….. maybe easiest to load , however it will cost you at least 5 mpg from the tow vehicle..... search the net there are hundreds of trailer designs you can chose from …… PS axel placement is very important, you want fairly equal balance F to R, but make sure you can have enough weight for the tongue, otherwise it will be all over the road while towing …..good luck …. Mike
