Default Is Throttle cable lubrication possible on '15 ST-S?

    hello,

I tried to lubricate the throttle cable of my '15 ST-S Spyder... I even bought the recommanded tool to do it correctly, but... it seems it's sealed??

Am I wrong? Here is the picture of what I got, I haven't been able to go further...

Did I do something wrong or is it just not possible (useful?) to lubricate throttle cable of some Spyder models?

    Thanks for you help.

    Default Curious...🤔

You probably have the fly by wire throttle and there is no cable to lube. Are you having a problem ..? If binding check grip and bar ends.

I could be wrong about this, but I don't think Spyders use throttle cables. It's all electronic controls

Photo looks like a fly by wire system to me. I don't see a cable.

I ride a 2013 ST-S. It is fly by wire.
The throttle rotation and return are controlled by a spring in the end of the grip.
Its a bugger to install and get set correctly.
    Good luck.

    thanks for your replies!

No I have no problem with the throttle, I just tought it might be appropriate to lubricate that cable before it actually becomes a problem!
