1330 engine 100,000 miles?

Hi everyone. I have a question for everyone. Has anyone gotten 100,000 miles out of the 1330 engine? I'm at the point where I might sell my RTS se6 but I had thought I would ride it to 100,000. I'm wondering if it has already been done. I dont want to have to replace an engine at say 75,000 miles. I have 37,000 on it presently. It runs and rides great.

I believe SpyderAnn1 sold her '14 RT with 121,000 miles on it. As of today I believe it is still putting on the miles.

It sounds like you are focused on the longevity of the 1330, right? If properly maintained I don't think there is ANY exit time for it. Generally speaking, gasoline engines properly maintained and not abused will live for 250,000 or more miles before needing a major rebuild. (exceptions, of course). There are plenty of other systems we have in our Spyders that I would worry about failing before even thinking about the 1330. Just my opinion..... Jim

and I think Her F-3 isn't that far behind …… imho 2-stroke engines age quicker, they generally produce more power but there is a cost - - longevity ….. Mike

I believe that this was also posted on every Can-Am Facebook page today. I did sell my 14 RTS SM-6 in 2017 with 123,000 miles on it. I only have 57,000 on my 17 F3T SM-6

How many left boots have you gone thru with all that shifting?

I think the 1330 will go that and many more if proper maintenance is performed. The 998 will too I believe. I've put 100K on two Goldwings, a BMW RT, and 80K on my Triumph Trophy SE. Resale value was crap when I sold them, but they all still ran well. I expect the same from my Spyder RT 1330.

I sold one of my Goldwings with an 1800cc engine a couple years ago. It had close to 200,000 miles. Ran and sounded as good as when new. Serviced regularly with oil and filter every 5K miles. Plugs changed once. Never used a drop of oil between changes. I would not hesitate to take that bike cross country (and back). Sold it in favor of getting the Spyder and kept my "low mileage" (120K miles) Goldwing. I expect the same longevity from the 1330 engine.
