It is alligator, not a croc.

There goes a handbag and several pairs of shoes.
I'm sure I'll hear from PETA about that crack.

I noticed the croc's hind legs and tail were moving around until the very end. Since the croc can hold his breath a long time, I wonder how long he "lasted". And does all that skin, claws, teeth give the python indigestion? And how many potential bike seat covers were lost? I have a sick curiosity..... Jim

I was thinking: "Damn! That's a couple of really good-looking belts, that are lost forever!"

If that had been a full grown adult gator, lunch might have ate the snake. It happens.

I have to agree with Pete on this one, Bob. How does the snake get 7 points for one croc? Is it like scoring in tennis?

Somebody ought to follow that snake around for a while...
This could be like the leather version of "Kopi Luwak".

You are all worried about the wrong critter there. Boots are made from snake skin too and that snake has enough skin to make a lot of them.

Serious problem here in South Florida. Snake lovers that get Pythons as pets release them into the wild. Over the years, the Pythons and other non native snakes, lizards and animals are changing the eco system.
The Pythons are so numerous, the State of Florida has a designated hunting season for them, and last I knew was paying the hunters for each snake killed and brought in. A friend that is a hunter, but not for the snakes, indicated they expected maybe to get 100 snakes max in the first year. They were shocked when over one thousand were killed and brought in. Truly emphasized the importance of doung the best to eradicate the Non native snakes.
Add to that the tens of thousands of roadside sunbathing lizards and the number of Jesus Lizards we never had 20 years ago.
