    Default 2015 1330 RTS won't start !

I rode my 2015 RTS to breakfast this morning and came back home. About an hour later I tried to start it and it would turn over fine, but it wasn't firing up. I drove the truck and tried it 3 hours later and it fired right up like normal.
Has anyone had this issue before?

    Has about 26k on it.

    Time to check your battery.

And yes, a really LOT of owners have had similar issues......but maybe not exactly the same.

Hopefully it is a one time issue, but sounds like a kill switch issue if it continues. If you work the switch back and forth a few times it will clean it self.

, with above …. check your connections - if you haven't yet add a Star washer onto each terminal then add your wires ….. they will never loosen by themselves.... Spyders do vibrate and over time connections get loose...… I always keep my RT on a battery maintainer …. but that's for insurance …. Mike

Definitely not a battery issue. It spins it really great, just no motor start up. Battery voltage was about 12.9 volts. It only dropped to about 12.1 volts.

Humm the kill switch would make sense.

Got hung up in a radio install on a service truck and I'm just now looking at the forums.

    Default Try This....

Seeing as it turns over normal hold the throttle wide open and hit starter button let it crank a bit then restart normal. You may have to try this a couple times. Sometimes throttle bodies don't shut down properly and flood the cylinders. TWO (throttle wide open) is a cure for such times...

I thought anything below 12.5 is battery going bad?

If the kill switch was bad/OFF, the starter will not run.

Not if the starter was running at the time it isn't.

Actually 12.5 is good under most circumstances.

Another option my be the purge valve stayed open and the fumes from the gas tank go into the air intake box when the engine is not running and the engine acts like its flooded...I DON'T think the purge valve sets a code...If it continues to happen unplug the purge valve vent line from the top of the fuel tank and run a temporary line from the tank to the bottom of the bike...
