Funny how the owners manual doesn't even mention how to adjust. Guess they take for granted you already know. With that said, you should be able to use just a pair of channel lock pliers or possibly a strap wrench. I you can get the rear in the air you can probably turn it by hand. The real tool is called a spanner wrench and you should be able to pick one up at any cycle shop.

Thanks for reply, I’m fully aware of what’s needed, I was wondering if there was a specific one needed since the ” 4” I have from previous bikes don’t fit the shock in question. And I really ain’t going to use Channel lock pliers on a new bike !

I know this has been discussed before. Try a search and it will give you a parts number. cueman

I just did a search for “Ryker shock spanner” and 3 different discussions came up. Give this a try. cueman

Rally shock is not same as standard Ryker shock. The ones I have from my Yamaha R1 and my Yamaha FZ09 won’t work.

Insane, check out my post on Ryker 900 shop talk. It’s a Progressive783 scanner purchased on amazon. It works great!

I used this and a ratchet. It's a bit fiddly but it works.
