Default Oil Cooler being replaced. 2016 RTS SE6

I've had it in the shop for warranty gauge cluster replacement. Found drops of oil on the garage floor and traced it back to the oil cooler after cleaning the area of oil. So again going back in. No issue's for 1.5yrs and 14000 miles doing my own service, take it in for a rear tire change and all of this is happening. Oh yes battery change also. I'm hoping its just a coincidence. Has anyone else had the oil cooler to leak?

I should be riding, not having it in the shop for repairs.

To the best of my knowledge since following the 1330 Ace engine introduction in 2014 on SL I have not seen another reported oil radiator, that's what the parts list calls it, leak. I do my own services too and it's in an area we don't routinely visit doing them. I'd vote for coincidence.

I have seen several 1330s overfilled and when the oil pushes out the dipstick, it runs down and collects there on the cooler. Are you SURE there is no oil above the cooler?

This is good advise. Sounds more probable than a damaged oil cooler.

Wasn't over filled. 5 quarts on oil change w/ filter. Also didn't see any oil from that area. I made sure to clean all over and on start up the first sign of oil from the oil cooler/radiator.

Sounds like you did your due diligence. Anything can go wrong. Bad oil coolers are pretty rare. I wonder if it took a rock or something?
