    Default K&N

Hi all I am thinking of changing BOTH air filters ie engine / CVT for K& N s I know they are more noisy especially engine one but the CVT will get more air and that carnt be a bad thing any thoughts? Regards Nico 75

I replaced the engine one but not CVT. Since filter is oiled you don't want oil to possibly get on the belt. I did this when I first got my Rally. Now I have a new replacement for the CVT side when needed.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KIPSP8G...v_ov_lig_dp_it Use the stock-K&N get OVER OILED many times and are less effective. Stock is Best.

In my many years building race cars I’ve found K&N filters are a waste of money. They either soak vital sensors with oil while caking your engines internals with dirt or they just coat your engines internals with dirt... btw every engine will last exactly one cup of dirt. Weigh your wants with that in mind.

I can not think of a good reason to put K&N's on your Ryker. No improvement in performance.

Any gain in performance comes from larger microns of air filter action not good

Just say NO to K&N- They were popular Many years ago with 2 stroke engines to change jetting and gain a tiny bit of power- Modern technology has Passed them by forever.
