    Default Trailer Jack

For those of you who pull a trailer and carry a spare tire, what kind of jack do you carry? My aluminum wheels are, according to the trailer mfg. supposed to torque at 80 ft lb, do you also carry a torque wrench, long cheater bar or what? Anyone actually need the spare?

I bought a lug wrench L-Bar kit came with all the sockets and L-wrench. Works pretty good. Had to use it on my car recently but take it with me if I travel with the bike and trailer

Years ago, I used to see these cam shaped axle jacks. Seeing how light the trailer is, it should work well and store easily. Probably should start looking as we go without a means to lift the trailer if needed.

I carry a bottle jack and a star wrench. Never needed them in 20 years. Knock on wood.

I use this. No crawling under the trailer and it lifts much higher than the automotive type scissors jacks.

    Bingo.

In addition, a 1' x 1' section of 3/4" fir plywood as a jack pad. A tarp, nitrile gloves, hi-viz safety equipment, portable inflator, well-stocked toolbox, and a known-good frequently maintained spare....
