Backrest Differences
What are the differences between the backrest for a regular seat and for a comfort seat?
Thanks

I believe the backrest is the same, it is the bracket that goes underneath the seat.

The mount is different. If you use the regular one on a Comfort Seat it scrunches up the seat at the back

I have a 2012 RT SE5. I have a 2014 RT seat on the way from ebay. What else would I need (part numbers would be nice) to install a brp backrest. I'm aware that there is some kind of difference between a comfort backrest and a production one. I have the production seat coming, so I guess the parts for that is what I'd need. Maybe some bracket that I attach under the seat on the plastic framing?

Go to this link, https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/shop/...tion-seat.html and you see the adjustable backrest for the production seat that will fit the 2014 seat you are expecting. It comes with all the hardware to mount it and will set you back four Ben Franklins.
