Yes, i am not palatially fond of the looks of the ryker windshield. But it does it's job. 99 % of my riding is at highway speeds.

The stock Ryker for $200. That was all I could find when I bought mine, but I think someone else is making a model for the Ryker now. I coldn't see riding without a windshield one you see how well they block the wind and can help you stay a little warmer.

I had the factory Ryker windscreen fitted and while it works, I don't think it works well enough. Looks a bit silly too. I'm waiting for a third party screen to become available.

Thank you! I'm going to get the big boy. Hopefully I'll be able to ride on the interstate going 70mph without having a death grip

With that big “Barn Door”... Does it have different feel on the steering or handle bar feel when it is windy or meeting 18 wheelers?

Rode without shield for about a month before install. Only difference I notice is not fighting the wind on the highway now. I don't feel like I have to hang on at 70 anymore. Trucks and campers still move you around a bit but nothing too bad.

Thanks for the info. So would you say it's a relaxed ride now when going 65 +

Your last sentence is why I don't have a windshield. I have heat-stoke issues and I need that air blowing on me. I can't even ride my Spyder during the summer because the windshield blocks the air. So, I just putt along at 35 to 45 mph where I get enough wind to cool me but not enough to "bother" my riding. Enjoy the ride!

Can you provide some information on the size or ordering information? Obviously CAN-AM is not listed in the dropdowns.
    Thanks

Aside from wind, a windshield is good protection from rocks and other debris. I use a full face helmet but you never know.

I took a different approach for a windscreen for my 900 ryker. Yes, i did not like the wind buffering i was getting with no windshield. So i had a windscreen on my honda shadow 750 bike that i took the windshield off to use in on my ryker. It fits the handlebars on the ryker by using some adapter mounts i made from some aluminum hospital walker legs. Other than that the only mod i did was reverse the downlegs to better fit the ryker handlebars. The windshield is still slightly small but a lot better when riding. No more buffering around on the highway except the big trucks still blow me around somewhat when passing me on the 2 lane highways. The top of the windscreen sits right at nose level. i have noticed that when i have the helmet shield open the wind blows right into my eyes if i'm not wearing sunglasses. I wish the honda windshield was 1 or 2 inches higher to stop this. The bottom edge of the honda windscreen sit right on top of the instrument cluster and does not interfere with the frunk opening and closing. There is about a 3 inch gap that lets some air in to cool my shirt in hot weather. At least it keeps the shirt dry. All i can say is it works for me and the price was right.

Heres the difference between my honda windshield and the factory ryker windshield.

I started with the stock Ryler windshield on my Rally. It was relatively efficient at keeping wind from blowing me off the seat at highway traffic speed. However, it was loud, really loud, even with my earplugs. I switched to a CalSci in the medium height. The CalSci is much quieter, reduces wind on my shoulders, but still provides enough air to stay cool. I have not noticed any significant difference in the size of the CalSci shield on steering. If anything, my handlebar inputs are less influenced by a wind gusts on my shoulders. The CalSci is less sporty and stylish the than the stock but is more functional. At my age sporty and stylish is less important than performance. Further, I have not seen any difference in fuel mileage with the larger screen.

it is still not listed, but a lot of ryders use it - easy to fix it on the handlbars .. adjustable & makes it a little more "sporty" ..

Your Right- The CalSci windshields are known for a quieter cockpit. Had 2 Of them on Spyders and worked Great. I have the MRA Universal windshield cut down to 16 wide by 12 wide at the top - Sport windshield is 16 by 8 wide at top. Its better than stock and attaches to the stock mounting bolts BUT the side winds kill you on a Ryker unless you have something like the CalSci which is 23.5" across the bottom and 18" across at the top. I just do not care for the look so I,m looking at Memphis Shades Del Rio or Big Boy which I can attach to the stock mount($95) BUT come winter if I can't find a better one I will buy the CalSci also!

F4 Customs will be releasing the new Ryker shield in about 2 weeks. It will give much better coverage and looks great. It will also be made with a re-curve so you can run a shorter shield and get good protection.
The F4 Shield is made from high optics polycarbonate, sheds rain, is optically perfect, and is highly scratch resistant like no others.

Will this mount to the Ryker stock windshield mount or will it me a separate mount?

I went a rode a friends Ryker yesterday. It had a nice windshield on it that he made. I didn't feel any wind even at 70mph.
