True. Material cost is a small fraction of total cost. Granted, a sway bar kit doesn't look like much. But there is quite a bit of labor that goes into it. BRP probably gets them made by the train car load in China. That's the way to do it. If you have the volume to support it.
Yes you are right ,but how many have been replaced other than an accident . The bajaron sway bar does sound like a great product ,but how do we in Canada get one without giving up are first born .

Jeezzz... you fellers are making this mod dang-near impossible to resist! Whut's good ol' Sir Ron payin' his frontmen anyways?
Now, if it weren't fer the absurd exchange rate, the duties, the taxes, the shipping fees ..... *sigh*. We's talkin' serious beer money here, dang-it!
You
Thankee fer postin'!
Installed BajaRon sway bar yesterday. Hardest part was deciding safest way to raise the spyder. Tried lifting it in center but didn’t feel safe at that height. I decided on 2 jacks. It worked out perfect. Very very stable. Left rear wheel on the ground. Seen somewhere on here someone did it the same way. 092D6957-2D80-4F35-B03C-C2095E300370.jpg
Just installed the BajaRon sway bar on my 2015 F3-S. Hardest part was removing the access panels underneath the frunk. An air ratchet made short work of removing the various bolts and torx screws. Handles a bunch better now. A BIG thanks to BajaRon and Lamonster Garage.
Just put mine in. Turns that I slowed down to 35 mph and still didn't feel comfortable I now take at 50 mph and it feels like it is on rails.
I feel that way exactly, Baron. Just got my BajaRon bar on, after 1000 miles with the stock bar, and my F3-T feels like a whole new machine. Holy s#it! You have to ask yourself why BRP doesn't put something like this on at the factory.

I have been puzzling over that from the get-go. That, to me, is a safety thing.
Ours is a red, black and chrome 2017 F3 Limited. Bought new in 2/2019. The avatar is my first bike back in 1952, a Simplex Servi-Cycle. Photo taken at the Barber Museum.

Funny thing is. When the F3 first came out I could not get any owners to even try my sway bar upgrade prototype. I never had a problem before with more volunteers than I needed for a project. But not with the F3.
They said that their F3 handled so well right out of the box that it did not need a sway bar upgrade. Finally, one of the owners that had turned me down had a friend that agreed to give my prototype a try. They installed the bar kit and both went for a ride. They swapped F3's on the way back. The owner who initially did not want to install the upgrade called me when they returned and ordered a bar kit for his F3. It's been pretty good since then.
They say; 'You never know till you try'. I suppose it may be true!

I tried the sway bar on my F3-S and can say there's a HUGH difference. Even the wife on back noticed it. One of the best add-ons that can be put on a Spyder!
