Short answer is, no it has the same amount of power in any mode, the power in sport mode is just not restricted by traction control.

In the automotive world, sport/standard/eco modes alter the ratio of throttle position to power output while having no effect on max power available. For example, in sport mode a 20 degree twist of the throttle might give you 50 hp while in eco mode that 20 degree twist might only give you 40 hp. More twist in eco would match the sport’s performance. That’ s how fuel economy is increased in eco mode. There is no re-mapping of fuel or timing.

From what I remember, sport mode tames down the nanny to where you can have a little parking lot fun drifting and such.

Ssssoooo, Satan has tricked you into believing his lies, and got you to thinking spinning the Spyder's R tire , performing crowd pleasing long smokey burnouts , and LURID death defying slides is the "righteous" thing . These are TOOLS of the DEVIL my son; be not swayed by fawning crowds of admirers, millions of social media likes, and dozens of scantily clad............................well; you get the drift!

PS: If any of that involves a massive firey explosion...................................get video!
