Default Anyone come up with a Ryker Frunk Lock?

Anyone came up with a lock for the Frunk? I'm thinking maybe a boat glove box lock might work. Thoughts on this?

Actually there is a lock already installed on the Ryker Frunk. It does not have a cable attached to it. There is a You Tube video out there that shows it. I believe a guy in Texas posted the video. Bruce

I found the video. But you still need some kind of mechanism to lock it.

I did mine tonight in about an hour or so. It's not hard. I paid like $15 for 2 of them on Amazon. Same lock as a boat glove box. Here's a link

Good find, you have any measurements on where to drill the 1 inch hole?

Seems that 1in hole (center) must be drilled at 1.5in from the top edge of the lid

Thank you, I will be installing mine soon.

I see there is a circle in the underside of the plastic lid in about that same place, how does that line up?

You can eyeball the center, I did. But yes, 1.5 inches from the edge of the hood. I used the plastic nut against the rim where the lid seals for my measurement. Then I drilled the hole with a step bit.

here is an installation video for a ryker frunk lock. You can buy the lock at Amazon and use the vidoe to install it.

I would recommend removing the frunk lid completely, much easier to work with and less of a chance of screwing up the hinge.

Installed my frunk lock from Amazon today, came out great!

I just realized from looking at that video I put my handle on facing forward, opposite than in the video.

But it seems more natural to grab it that way so going to leave it.

Also got the Amazon one - will install it coming week-end
I agree with Jimmy that handle should be facing forward - thanks for the feedback

I imagine that the reason for putting the handle on the other way is to make it more aerodynamic or so that flying bugs or debris doesn't get hung up on it. Just a thought, even though it seems more logical to put the handle forward so that it would be a natural way to open the door.
