    Default CO2 cartridges

I have a Stop-N-Go repair kit. I know it is more than 10 years old. My question is, " How long are the CO2 cartridges go for?" It has never been used, good luck I guess, but don't want to have a flat and not being able to use it. Thanks

If the CO2 cartridge has never been used it should be OK for decades. Inspect it for corrosion or dents. If it looks OK it does not go bad.

While it depends some on how good your hearing is.............
If you shake the cartridge and can hear the liquid sloshing around inside then it is still good.
If you can't hear it, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's empty though.

    Default Here's the thing..

All kits come with a adapter to fill the tire that punctures the seal on the C02 cartridge. Once you have done this you should use it all and chuck it. I have seen many carry it ready but once punctured they will not hold for very long.

Same way with the CO2 pellet rifles......... once the seal is punctured you might as well replace the cartridge next time out. Seal intact, it will last for years.

That's because they are the exact SAME cartridges.

    Question different cartridges ?

Cartridges DO have differing amounts of CO2 in them . Some as little as 5 grams. the stop and go kit has 12 grams in it. and I just purchased some as back-up and they are 20 grams. Wear your gloves though--- they get really cold when dispensing the CO2. Also some have threaded nozzles and some don't.
