    Default Visit To Hatteras Lighthouse in Cape Hatteras, NC

    Took a little ride down to Cape Hatteras, NC today. Beautiful weather and nice ride. Enjoyed some great seafood and chatted with first time visitors to OBX . Liz and I made very good use of a superb day.

    That looks like a really wonderful day and ride RTS. Another place on my list.

    Heading to Duck, NC tomorrow morning for Memorial Day week with family. I rode my RT-S two years ago. Great fun. Back to a cage this time.

    Ive been down that way many times,whats really fun is following the coast on ferrys from as far down to as far up as you can go.You meet a lot of great people in those small towns that wouldn't exist if not for the ferries.Ive only ever done it on 2 wheelrs before but that will change.

    My Brother was stationed there with the Coast Guard - he worked on the light station that replaced the lighthouse. That was a lot of years ago. Pretty area, must have been a nice ride.

    That is a nice area. We actually rode down there for a day trip a couple of years ago. My wife's home is about 2 hours from there. I was thinking about either riding there, or to Carolina Beach on Monday, for the holiday. But I am rethinking that idea due to traffic concerns.
