Spyder isn't an ATV and was never meant to "ride" on slopes.
BTW, the "slope" in a curve is not the same as a SLOPE off road!
Spyder may be fool proof but they are not IDIOT proof.

I can see how that could happen, could probably happen in forwards motion on a curve in a slope too. I assume the electronics work to prevent this in forward gear, wonder if they are programmed to do so in reverse.

Anyway, be careful. We call it a toy but like any toy, have to respect the power of the device. Daniel is an admitted new rider and he isn’t bashing the Ryker. I’ve seen several of his videos previously and he seems to be quite happy with his bike. Hopefully he doesn’t sour on things but learns to respect the ride while learning.

That video brought back some memories and laughs, could have been me you saw as I've put a sled on its side once....... or maybe twice in reverse

Here was my reply to the video on Youtube...
"I wonder what the manual says regarding ryding in reverse, downhill, and then giving it way too much gas? Your inexperience caused this accident, and lucky for you, it did not result in an injury. Taking a course could have helped, but when I watched the video of you right before the accident, you had your feet down. Now, I have over 15K on my Spyder 2008GS. The only time I have my feet on the ground is when I am getting on, and, getting off the machine. Bottom line...take a course. Read the manual. Next time you may not be so lucky."

Don't know about the Ryker, but with the RT Nanny still functions, at least to some degree. Speed is limited to 9 mph in reverse, but that's probably still fast enough to flip the Spyder if you turn sharp enough.

Sooo.... if you drive a reverse trike in reverse... will that make your reverse trike a... "normal" trike!?

Unfortunately I decided to watch a few more videos that this guy has put up. If you need a good laugh, from a person who has decided to not take a course, has never ridden a motorcycle, not sure if he has a license, suffered two cracked ribs from this incident(his words) and really has very little time on a Ryker, go watch. I'm just happy I do not live or ride near him...
