How do they work any better than just using two flathead screwdrivers?

Yeah your right, these aren't any better than 2 screwdrivers tearing up the push pins

A lot of automobiles including the Ryker use plastic push pins to fasten plastic panels. These pliers grab the center of the plastic push pin for removal of the pin. Some sell these on line for over $25, this is the same design for under $10.

I have been using the HF ones and find them a lot less fiddly than screwdrivers. They not only grab the pin part easily, but I also pull the larger part with them, grabbing them at the meatier places.
I bought them with a 25% off coupon. That makes me like them even more.

I picked up a set of panel removers from amazon. The door panel remover works great on the Ryker body panels.

When I last looked at push pin pliers several years ago the jaws on the HF pliers were so I bought a pair of Lisle ones because they had perfectly matching jaws. I agree the pliers are better than two screwdrivers.

these pliers dont work well with the BRP push pull pins..Jaws are a bit big. I found a wide blade screwdriver works better . JMO

I have no problem with the Lisle pliers although sometimes you have to orient the grooves in the pins better than they may have been on initial assembly.

Why would you need two screwdrivers when one does the job nicely?

Thanks for putting this out there KC. I already have a pair of these and use them extensively on the spyder and my cars.

Push pins are all over on motorcycles now with plastic panels, as most of us know that have been riding for any length of time. Anyone ever lose the little pin in the middle of that thing, no fun.

Aiuto parts stores and Spyderpops have them; good idea to have some spares.

One $2.00 small straight blade screw driver slips em right out. I've never used anything else.

DSCN2860.jpg or a paint can lid lifter works well; especially if polished with a sander on the curve so it levers the pin out smoothly
