UPDATED!! 7-14-09- Stereo Mod completed
Ok, so here is the final install. It is a Pyle PLCD15MR 200 Watt with a hard wire remote (buy.com- 119.99). Mounted it in the storage bay. The antenna is this one: http://www.diguniverse.com/ANTENNAS-...YLPLMRNT1.html
I used Polk marine 5 inch speakers and JBL covers (the speakers don't come with speaker covers- Ask me how I know?). I have Polk 2 inch tweeters mounted on the dash.
Not easy finding a place to stuff all of the wires not to mention 18 feet of remote extension cable that cannot be cut because it contains 10 individually wrapped wires! The placement of the speakers does leave some of the sound behind (moving forward) but I am going to install half moon baffles, about an inch high along the lower half of the speakers to "redirect" the sound- At this point, the power lead is unswitched but there is only the LED readout on the main display and I have not found the minimal draw to be a problem. I have my Zumo 550 connected to the aux input on the unit and can control it with the remote. It does not hamper the bluetooth connection to my Scala Rider Q2 and I can still put the MP3 music through to my helmet but as it is mono, not so great. NOTE- the CD will not function with the unit mounted transverse but I didn't want it to sit on the floor and I have plenty of listening options as it is!

I like it. What did you use to mount the actual unit?
In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to God. God looked down upon Ireland and said "Damn, I'm good!"

That heavy duty plastic interlock (like velcro) that they sell at Radio Shack http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2104175
Works great, nothing moves and peels off if you don't like it there.

Couldn't resist this final add-on- Just wasn't happy with the sound (low speakers and sound quickly behind me)- So I added this pair of non-amplified Road Rumblers. Sound is excellent and I can hear now!

Marcel has a new faring with all of that stuffed inside, + an iPod connector - has anyone seen one of those actually in a Spyder??
I have full surround sound on my K12, and miss it on my Spyder...
