    Default Access to headlight circuit?

I'm trying to find a place to tap into the headlight circuit to power LED driving lights without completely dismantling the front end. Is it possible?

Accessing the headlights is really easy. Remove mirrors, then the 3 screws behind them, remove the wind deflectors, remove the push pin on the access panel at the front of the trunk, remove the screw that was under the panel and pull that panel away. This will reveal another screw, remove it and the 2 screws at the bottom of the vader mask, now do the same thing on the other side. Remove the front panel and then remove the 10mm bolts that hold the headlight in place, remove the lower side access panels and remove the 22 mm nut on the headlight adjuster, feed the cable back, there will be a zip tie on the left side cable. Unhook the plugs and you are ready to tap in. All the screws are Torx 30. Should take 15 minutes tops.

Well Hell, if I hafta do all that just to tap into a headlight circuit I might as well install HID bulbs in there while I'm at it. I was thinking of going with LEDs but from what I've read on here HIDs might be the better option. Any recommendations on who/where to buy them from?

Most of us put LEDs in the headlights. I added Denali spot lights to the inside of the front wheel and power them with a fuse block and switch in the switch area just under the handlebars. Just got another fog light switch and Yes, you have to remove a lot of panels to get at everything.

...... I believe " PMK " has those Denali's and really likes them ............... personally I would NOT tap into the headlight circuit, the possibility of causing electrical issues would steer me away from doing it ...... As Flamewiger said get and install a separate Fuse Block, it doesn't have to be super fancy and expensive ..... I paid $8.00 for one at BangGood.com ...... It does what it needs to do ...... Mike
