Default Nico 75 - Ryker knee pads

Hi all as anyone fitted the BRP knee pads WITHOUT taking any panels off? If so is it easy. Regards Nico 75

Based on BRP's installation video, it looks to be very easy.

Do the knee pads help anything i.e. comfort? What is that secondary piece that has an attachment point on the inside?

But my knees are in open air whilst ryding my Ryker, so pads will make no difference!

Yes: I've put them on (easily--no panel removal needed), & they do provide a good surface for knee-gripping while turning at speed.

When you're going around corners, try hugging the Ryker with your knees. You will feel more planted in the seat. The downfall to that is the insides of your knees can get sore due to the hard plastic.

Never had that problem. Simply going slower on the corners works.

Hi mikeyuberalles ref knee pads. Video shows panel removal which I didn't do to much trouble just for pads. Regards Nico 75

I'm surprised that no one has come out with a knee pad that was just an adhesive add on for the side knee panels. I would think something like that would work well.

Why would you want to got THAT slow on the corners?! I'm not going to shell out $100 for them but would like to figure out something (we have lots of curves in the TX Hill Country and we ride em like we stole em!)

    $16.00

Raised rubber bumps on the surface make gripping with knees easy. Simple 3M peel and stick adhesive. Intallation time 5 minutes each. No panel removal required.

Just a heads up, I put a vinyl pink cancer awareness angel on my Spyder and when I tried it on my Ryker it wouldn't stick to the matte black panels!

Don't have a Ryker or know anybody that does. I could go out and measure the pads I put on the Spyder if it would help.

I installed them, without removing panels, just a little tedious getting everything aligned. As for the point of them, the heat shielding is pretty nice (I live in the desert), but I find the added grip for your knees while maneuvering at speed is the real plus. The hard plastic gives you no real grip

I’ve just received some Eazi-Grips Silicone Universal.
Two 30x15 cm sheets that obviously can be cut to whatever you want.
They come in a charcoal colour (ideal)
UK website at eazi-grip.com , they come in at £32 so around $40.
Will be fitting in the next day or so.
