Used Spyder - Manual Transmission thoughts or issues

I came across a 2010 Spyder RT Audio and convenience, SM5 (manual transmission), with low miles (under 15K) and a price a little below KBB. It was online and I have not traveled to see it yet as I have not had the time.
Looking for thoughts from those that have a manual transmission spyder. I currently am riding a Suzuki DL-650, so a manual transmission is not out of the question.
I have read a lot of posts on what to look for with an older spyder, but have read very little on any problems or concerns with a manual transmission. I have seen several used spyders in the same year and mileage range with the SE transmission and the price is higher (not surprising).
Are there any issues with buying a manual spyder, other than replacing a clutch when it is at the end of its service life?
I rode a 2018 RT (SE transmission) during the 3 wheel basic riders course last fall and was impressed. I am still undecided on a spyder or a Gold Wing with reverse trike kit, although I have yet to find a reverse trike Gold wing to test ride. I will probably have to travel quite a ways from N Central, PA for that.

No issues with the manual transmission. My 08 was a manual...but all the rest have been semi auto.

Manuals sell for less (good for you) but take a longer time to sell.

I would recommend having a dealer run the VIN #. That will give you a mechanical history on the machine. If that checks out...you should be good to go.

Same here first one was manual second and third semi-automatic and would never go back to manual and im in the mid thirties and rode manual two wheelers until about two years ago.

I rode a Harley trike. While going on a interstate on-ramp, found the front tire wanting to skip along or not staying where I intended the line of travel I wanted. Had a passenger, and as most on-ramps are, slight curve to it. That's what you get with 2 REAR wheels. The Spyder 2 FRONT wheels are safer, with built in safety features. Anti- lock brakes, Vehicle Stability, takes off throttle in too tight a curve, and can also apply brake.

Manuals are cheaper, SE are more expensive

I started out on a manual transmission Spyder. It was okay. After the crash, I got a se, and I absolutely love it. Everything is so much easier.
And yes, the se cost a bunch more.

I have a 2013 STS SM5. The manual trans is bulletproof.
No issues so far with the clutch, ie. Plates. Works fine
There are write-ups about slave cylinder "O" ring issues on manual Spyders.
I've read the write-ups and purchased a set of O rings to have on hand if needed.

Are you sure ? Your riding will be cut in half or more like by 90%

Manual for me. Got one in my car too--Focus ST. People either like rowing their own or not; nothing wrong with either--plenty of good points made above about costs; resale values etc. good luck with whatever you do!
