Default Correct LED bulbs orientation for a good beam pattern?

    Hello,

I will soon receive my new LED bulbs for my 2015 ST-S Spyder, and I'm wondering if anyone with LED bulbs installed could show me the correct orientation of the bulbs?

I'm attaching pictures of OEM bulbs.

    Thanks for your help.

The all fit the way they fit. You don't have any choices to make.

Actually I can, there's a little screw that I can unscrew to rotate the LEDs, that's why I wanted to see installed LEDs!

If that's not possible I'll just try different positions by myself.

Know I read somewhere about orientation is correct but the reflecting surface in the housing is not for LED’s & makes the light look little odd Bout it. Still functions & all but may take some getting use to.

You apparently have an LED that can be rotated .... I remember a LaMont video that showed how and why ..... I have purchased LED's that were not adjustable ....the beams appeared to be where they should point ..... On an RT ( like mine ) it would be labor intensive to get it right ......... Mike

    Thumbs up

The company I purchased my LEDs from uses a 360* LED. No rotating or adjustement required. They work great. The seller has been exculded from this site but they are still in business of selling really " trick LEDs " for our favorite rydes.

I've seen that this seller has been excluded from this site (his name is masked with stars everywhere it appears), but I don't know why?
I bought my LEDs from another seller, same bulbs as Lamonster but half the price!

If your bulbs use 360° LEDs I don't understand how you can have low beam and high beams??? Low beam is supposed to reflect on the upper side of the reflector to illuminate downwards, and high beam is supposed to reflect on both upper and lower sides of the reflector...

The RT has a shutter that is the way it achieves LOW beam and High beam ..... imho it's a very expensive ( and can be problematic ) way to achieve the H & L lightening ..... but that's how BRP did the North Amer. Spyders ...... Mike

I have Lamont LED bulbs in my 2013 ST. The ST does not have shutters.
The term for the rotation is "clocking" the LED. The bulbs come with a very small allen (hex key) wrench for adjustment.
Lamont bulbs are preclocked so the filament is horizontal and the beam pattern as projected appears
as a flat fan. The only problem I encountered with the LEDs is adjusting the height of the beam.
As installed out of the box they project way too high and need a significant adjustment down.
I will try to get pictures when I get home tonight.

That's correct, I received my LED bulbs and they were almost correctly pre-clocked (mine are not from Lamonster). I used the tiny allen key to adjust them.

Now 1st bulb is installed, low and high beams work well. Looks good already!

It wasn't that difficult to replace, but my hands are not too big, it helps.

    Done!!

    Picture quality is bad, sorry.

2nd bulb clocking was identical to the 1st one. Both low and high beams work well.

And I used dielectric grease and electrical tape to protect connections.

Good luck to those of you who will do that bulb replacement job!

My next challenge will be to replace the air filter...
